The atmosphere is great for hanging out and getting to know fellow backpackers, but enough space to relax on your own.

Situated conveniently in the Ikuchi Island district of Onomichi, 島宿Nest is set 25 km from Oogamiyama Omoto Shrine, 28 km from Saikon-ji Temple and 31 km from Saikokuji Temple. I found Rina to be very helpful, also another staff person who came to help with a WiFi issue. I was made to feel welcome and at home. They also helped with cycle rental. I was given a room overlooking the water. In every way, I liked The Nest and would stay here again.

Located in the centre of Hiroshima, RED HELMET House & Sports Bar Hiroshima is situated less than 1 km from Myoei-ji Temple and a 11-minute walk from Hiroshima Station. All was perfect. The big living room, complete kitchen, confortable beds, it is very clean and the man in the reception was so kind! One of the best hostels I have been in Japan.

Ideally situated in Hiroshima, GuestHouse Hostel MangeTak ゲストハウス マングタック広島 features air-conditioned rooms, a shared lounge, free WiFi and a bar. It was very clean. I have not stayed in a hostel in over 20 years so was a bit skeptical but this hostel was phenomenal and I would rebook again. I was with my 70 year old aunt and 20 year old daughter and we all loved it.
