Featuring a restaurant and bar, Glemerald Hostel is located in Pula, just a 5-minute drive from the sandy beach. It offers vending machines, a garden, and air-conditioned rooms. One of us had a fall which meant needing an ambulance and attention at a Cagliari hospital. The receptionist was also most helpful helping us trace a mislaid iPhone.

A former monastery of the 16th century, Hostel Marina is Cagliari's first hostel and member of the International Hostelling Network. The reasons why I would personally recommend Hostel Marina to all backpackers travelling to Cagliari are threefold: First of all, the uttermost kindness and politeness of all the staff at the reception; Secondly, the utmost cleanliness, luminosity, and spaciousness of both the bedroom and all the common areas; Thirdly, the all-out convenience of the super centric location—smack dab right in the heart of Cagliari downtown, just a stone's throw away from all the fanciest restaurants and all the liveliest bars, pubs, and clubs!!! Last but not least, the unbeatable quality to price ratio! In one word: Top-notch!!!
