Set in Hvolsvöllur, 3.5 km from Seljalandsfoss, Paradise Cave Hostel & Guesthouse offers accommodation with a garden, free private parking, a terrace and a bar. Everything was super in this structure! The staff was very kind, they welcomed us warmly, giving us advice on the nearby attractions (6 min from Seljalandsfoss - Gljufrabui). We were also allowed to use the kitchen even a little bit after the established hours (we just had to be quiet) so overall the staff were very easygoing. Food was a big up in this hostel: we were offered a free welcome cake and breakfast (included in the price) was very good (you can even taste some typical Skyr). Kitchen wasn't so big but it had everything you need and it was clean. Dorm and bathrooms were spacious and clean and we couldn't ask for more. P.S. there is a nice waterfall in the mountains behind the hostel which is really beautiful, even if it's not in the guides. It is worth a little walk (even if you have to cross a little stream) and it gives the whole place a really magic atmosphere!

Set a 10-minute drive from Jökulsárlón Glacier, this farm hostel offers rooms with free Wi-Fi and mountain views. Iceland’s Ring Road is right next to the property. Location was just great! Just off the ring road and so near to the Jokulsarlon lagoon and the surrounding activities which we booked (eg Glacier Adventure). So it is really a great base although it was pricey due to its location. But no regrets as it saved us travelling time and more resting time! We had 2 rooms that were next to each other. The whole hostel is very clean (we see the staff hard at work and the place smelling great) and the kitchen has excellent amenities for simple cooking. Enjoyed the coffee on the house and the excellent Icelandic happy marriage cake. Overall a very comfortable stay for 2 nights for 5 of us!

This little coffee house is very beautifull. Exactly how shown in the picture. Very clean and very cozy. The host was amazing, we were there during a storm and she was so helpfull ! Would really recommend to stay more than one night to really enjoy the little farm !
