It is a smaller hostel but has all the facilities of a larger one, including a pool which was bliss in the evening to chill and read a book. The staff were very kind and helpful, and I met some nice people staying to get a beer with. People were quiet at night. Aircon in the dorm was great. Breakfast was delicious. Very good value for money.

Sleepy Raccoon felt more like a home than a hostel, and Muk treated us like we’re family. Could not have asked for a better hostel for our first time in Java: cozy, well stocked kitchen, close to Malioboro, clean beds and bathrooms and extremely helpful staff. I will definitely be back at Sleepy Raccoon every time I’m at Yogyakarta!

Located in Timuran and with Sultan's Palace reachable within 2.5 km, The Backyard Hostel provides a garden, non-smoking rooms, free WiFi throughout the property and a shared lounge. We absolutely loved our stay at the Backyard hostel! We extended from two nights to 4. :) The staff was lovely and helpful. Our private room was super clean and nice. We used the shared kitchen with a fridge and the possibility to make tea or coffee, really great! The shared space was clean and pleasant. We used the opportunity to order breakfast and we tried the local cuisine, so good! We also borrowed a scooter for two days. Everything worked perfectly. Thank you very much!

Situated in Yogyakarta and with Museum Sonobudoyo reachable within 1.3 km, Sastro Place features concierge services, rooms, an outdoor swimming pool, free WiFi throughout the property and a garden. Location a little weird, down a narrow alley not accessible by car but only 2 mins walk max from the main road. Can walk to Malioboro in about 10 or 15 mins. Room was great, nice bathroom and comfy bed.

Really enjoyed to stay here, much home appliance are applicable therefore i could save my savings to do more activities in Yogyakarta. The staff always clean every spot and corner of this hotel so that i felt comfortable to stay here. If i had more time i would make my stay longer. Thank you Gorga Hostel!
