The internet connection was stable. Tap water is drinkable. Each bed has a big locker and several shelves to use. Walkable distance to the city center (15 mins) and to a nice beach (10 mins).

Located in the eastern part of Rijeka called Pećine, only 1.5 km distance from the city centre, HI Hostel Rijeka is nestled in an old villa. In this airbnb, era where an accomondation is usually just a way for someone to make some money, and immediately after think of you just as a problem to get rid of, I had the fantastic experience of staying in a place where the philosophy behind is still to take care in total of a traveler. I got answers in every request I had from highly skilled workers, very good in languages, and absolutely available for anything you need and this become double special if this is "just" a hostel. Also other comers might feel the same the atmosphere in between people is just pleasant. Clean, positioned close to some beaches, quiet, space for bikes.

Set in Kraljevica, within 2.6 km of Oštro Beach and 2.6 km of Javorišće Beach, Hostel Bordada offers accommodation with a shared lounge and free WiFi throughout the property as well as free private... Spent one night there and it was good enough for a short stay. Very nice owner who gave us great advice on our Croatia itinerary. Thank you

Located in Mali Lošinj and with Bojčić Beach reachable within 700 metres, Hostel Flora provides a shared lounge, non-smoking rooms, free WiFi and a terrace. Unfortunatly I came very late, almost midnight. They could organise someone, who could show me the room. I am so thankful. The room is tiny, but enough for one person ;)

Hostel Kvarner is located in the centre of Rijeka, about 250 metres from the Korzo promenade. All units are air-conditioned and free WiFi is available throughout the property. It feels like you are being welcomed to a friend's house! Bogdan (I hope I spell it correctly) is really nice and attentive. He maintains the whole place really well and is always asking if everything is great. The location is perfect, especially if you need to catch an early bus. The walk to the beaches is not at all too far (note, the hostel is not next to the beach), and is a beautiful walk along the coast. Very satisfied with the stay and would definitely repeat when work allows!
