The YHA Ilam Hall has dormitory rooms, most containing bunk beds, with shared bathroom facilities. The magnificent Victorian building also houses a sumptuous lounge with a TV and games area.

YHA Ilam Hall Hostel is a National Trust property, and the River Manifold runs through the beautiful grounds. Alton Towers is a 15-minute drive away, and Chatsworth House is a 30-minute drive. Ilam is really beautiful place. The youth hostel helps a lot for the trekkers moving in the peak district. It is affordable, have all the facilities you need, great people working there and have lot's of activities. The room and the bed is super comfortable to have much deserved rest after long walks.

Soli Hostel

Alton

Set in Alton and within 3.2 km of Alton Towers, Soli Hostel has a garden, non-smoking rooms, and free WiFi. The property is located 24 km from Trentham Gardens, 38 km from Buxton Opera House and 47 km from Chatsworth House. A lovely place very close to Alton towers and a few other locations. The welcome was great, we had to check in late and they accommodated us. The rooms were good especially with the ensuite. Parking was available and plenty of spaces. There is a massive place to eat, a hot water kettle and milk/tea bags. Microwave and Fridge available in the common area, cups available too. All in all excellent for the price

I ve met people there that would be my friends forever , best time , kitchen talks , i love all of you , i didn’t have time to bye bye silooo , if you see this i would like to tell you it was one of the best things in my life and hope we meet again , and sending greeting to all people i met there thank you for being part of this great journey ❤️

Macclesfield Lodge

Macclesfield

At the hostel, every room comes with a wardrobe. Rooms have a shared bathroom with a shower, free toiletries and a hairdryer. At Macclesfield Lodge the rooms are equipped with a desk and a flat-screen TV. The host was so attentive, we lost power and didn’t have a mirror and they straight away fixed both issues.
