Rooms on the High Street is set in Portree, 27 km from Talisker Distillery, and offers free WiFi throughout the property. The hostel has family rooms. We were very happy with our 3-night stay here. The 3 of us stayed in a room that did not have an ensuite bathroom, but it was just a step across the hall to it and this was not an inconvenience at all. Both the room and bathroom were spotless when we arrived. The location in downtown Portree gave us access to many of Skye's sights, and there were lots of eating options within a short walk each night. This is a very nice place to stay, with staff who gave excellent directions about the check-in process.

The place was exceptionally clean and the staff super friendly. I traveled with my 65 year old mum who has never stayed in a hostel before and was a bit skeptical, but she absolutely loved it and we both wished we could have stayed longer.
