Located in the market town of Keswick in the heart of the Lake District National Park, Denton House Hostel is just a 5-minute stroll from Keswick Leisure Centre. With free WiFi and free parking, Keswick Museum and Art Gallery and Cumberland Pencil Museum are also less than a mile away. The location was beautiful! It was across the street from the Greta River and right beside the old rail line that is now a walk/run/bike trail. It is a 5-10 minute walk into the centre of town and just over 10 minutes to Derwent Lake. My bed was in the annex with the main building with all the kitchen/dining area/common room in the neighbour building about 5 metres away. I loved everything!

Stayed on numerous occasions. Safe car park, very clean, helpful staff, great location, lovely breakfast, fantastic views
Cheaper than most for one night, central for our stop off. A nice walk around Carlyle . Reception and stairs clean and tidy. Good security on the doors. Safe free parking at rear of building.
Cheap and comfortable enough for the price. A cheap stay for the lake district though a hostel would be cheaper and probably a bit nicer. Location is good in the centre of town, but parking is free but timed on street and you need a disc from reception.
It was clean and tidy. We had a problem with the front door which was repaired on the 2nd call out. The window in the bedroom with the bunk beds had a lock, but no limiter to stop the window opening too far and children climbing out which we reported as a safeguarding concern.
Great location ..Clean room ..friendly staff .Second trip throughly enjoyed it.There were a few guest houses allot cheaper this season, but as had a great time before choose to stay again .Good location to catch the buses if you don't want to drive xx
Very welcoming staff , went out of their way to help The atmosphere was very friendly and the hostel quirky but clean and comfortable. Great location for the C 2 C walk Felt safe and slept well as it was quiet even though a lot of people were staying.
Great location right in the centre of Keswick so everything was so handy to walk to. Really friendly staff. Rooms were small but clean and fresh. Breakfast was very tasty. The whole hotel was decorated to a lovely standard so it felt super luxurious, enabling us to relax straight away and enjoy a really wonderful break in Keswick. Car park straight outside the back and they even gave me a permit at a cheaper rate for our stay which was nice.
Great location, friendly staff, nice and warm during a very cold spell. Lovely bar/cafe. It's a youth hostel, so hardly luxurious accommodation, but it was clean and comfortable and exceeded my expectations. I loved the sound of the river flowing by.
Great location. I was able to park easily , a big bonus in the Lake District. The Hostel location was perfect to be able to start walking from. Solo traveller and felt very safe here, friendly and helpful staff . Great kitchen and shower facilities. nice and clean . I had shared female dorm , and I requested the bottom bunk and my request had been granted. I would definitely return here.
