Located in Dieulefit and with Valdaine Golf Course reachable within 25 km, L’escale provides free bikes, non-smoking rooms, free WiFi throughout the property and a shared lounge. Clean bedding and towels. 2 showers and a separate toilet. Didn't use the kitchen but looked good. Wifi was excellent even in the attic. Could use the laundry machine for our hiking clothes. The owner had excellent suggestion for eating out.

Set in Saint-Vallier and within 33 km of Valence Parc Expo, Le couvent des Capucines - hébergement vélo Via Rhona features a shared lounge, non-smoking rooms, and free WiFi. Stopped by on a cycling trip due to adverse camping conditions. Could store my bike downstairs in a room that had some construction going on. Ended up to be the only person staying there that night, might get bit crowded if it's fully booked. Very neatly designed sleeping- and cooking area, thick curtain shielding the sleeping area and also thinner curtains to shield the beds. Heating available, strong hot shower.

YASI Hostel features a garden, shared lounge, a terrace and bar in Lyon. One of the best hostels I've ever stayed at! Everything is extremely clean, the staff is super friendly and helpful. I really liked the curtains for the beds in the dormitories that provided some privacy and protection from the light in case some roommates come in late at night. The included breakfast is great as well! I definitely recommend staying here.

Featuring a terrace, Slo Lyon Saxe is located in Lyon, 1 km from Place Bellecour and 1.5 km from Lyon's Old Town. A 24-hour reception and free WiFi access is available. I really can’t fault my stay. Everything from the decor, the staff, facilities and location was absolutely perfect. The staff were very helpful, even holding my luggage after check out and letting me wait for my train. The rooms were clean and comfortable, kitchen facilities available too. Nice and close to the metro which was great.

Auberge de Jeunesse HI Séez features a garden, shared lounge, a terrace and restaurant in Séez. After a long hot drive from Dijon, the friendly welcome, delicious dinner and comfortable beds were so welcome. The staff were exceptional; the communal dinner relaxed and the whole atmosphere just great. Will definitely be stopping here again.

As always, these youth hostels are super nice, cosy and the staff is friendly, helpful. Its a great thing that you can meet a lot like-minded people here (cyclists, hikers, runners, bikers). I never thought Id like hostels but I really do!
