Молодежный хостел Clematisso с принадлежностями для барбекю и частным пляжем расположен в коммуне Ла-Марана, в 17 км от города Бастия. Стойка регистрации работает круглосуточно. I have so much to say for this hotel. First of all it's not a luxury place. But; it's one of the best place I will never forget in my life. The owner 'Jean Louis', he is an angel with no wings. He is doing much more than he can to make you feel good. We needed a taxi to go airport next morning at 05:30, he dropped us there by himself with his car for very small charge. We wanted to go restaurant and he said he can pick us up. The hotel is just 200 meters by walking to very nice beach. There is very nice restaurant on the beach by walking distance named 'Paillote chez Antho'. General atmosphere of this place together with lovely hosting of Jean Louis makes it unprizable. We just loved it 🥰

The location..stunning views of the Citadel and Calvi.. the group dinners connecting with everyone there...also the food was excellent and the price of wine to go with was perfect. Busy sometimes but added to the group energy. I hooked up with other travelers for short trips..rides to town. I stayed much longer than I had planned... came back 10 days later and I'm already planning fir next summer. The manager Sebastian was a little difficult for me to read in the beginning and mostly the staff does not speak english..but once I got to know Sebastian... he is the Best!

The vegetarian meals the kitchen made me were so satisfying and tasty for such a reasonable price. I highly recommend Chez Marie for hostels or gîtes traveling to a terrific setting with beautiful and dramatic mountain stream walks and wading just a kilometer to the east.
