Situated in Puerto Viejo, 500 metres from Negra Beach, La Tribu Boutique Hostel for women features air-conditioned accommodation and a shared lounge. The hostel is really nice, good facilities and such a good vibe! Very chill, nice staff and sweet fellow hostel sleepers. The activities organised by the hostel were very nice, especially the tour at the indigenous people with the chocolate and waterfalls that is offered on Saturday is ámazing. 10/10 would recommend!

Situated in Jaloba, Amaya's Hostel has a garden, a shared lounge and a terrace. The accommodation features a shared kitchen, a tour desk and luggage storage for guests. Great accommodation for a longer stay. The shared spaces (kitchen, outdoor seating, etc.), the room, and the private bathroom met our expectations. Very comfortable beds. Mosquito nets were available. The owners were very kind, gentle, and friendly. They cooked a wonderful meal for us, we spent Christmas there, and it was amazing. Thank you so much. Every day, they asked if everything was okay, and it always was. We will stop by again on our way back. We look forward to seeing you again soon. Parismina allows you to see things you won't see anywhere else. In a small area, there are monkeys, various bird species, and sloths. We were lucky. The beaches were empty and still beautiful! The kitchen and seating area exceeded expectations. Oven, microwave, even a rice cooker. Beautiful surroundings. A friendly village with small local shops selling mixed goods, fruit, vegetables, bread, etc. The soda restaurant cooks wonderfully. Simply a wonderful 6 days, highly recommended. We love animals, so we spent more time observing the local wildlife.

Arcari Garden Hostel is located just 400 metres from Tortuguero National Park, just a few steps from the sea shores and features free WiFi access is available in all areas. The staff is absolutely awesome. They are very helpful and always in a good mood! Also the facilities are great, especially the kitchen is very well equipped. Overall this is the place to be in Tortuguero, great for backpackers :)

Situated in Puerto Viejo, 200 metres from Cocles Beach, Tasty Dayz Hostel features accommodation with a garden, free private parking, a shared lounge and a restaurant. The ambience location and staff/people here really made it a great stay. We only stayed here 2 nights but spent many nights here hanging out before our stay. Highly recommend.

Set in Tortuguero and with Tortuguero Beach reachable within a few steps, Chinitas Eco Lodge offers a tour desk, non-smoking rooms, a garden, free WiFi and a terrace. Guests can enjoy garden views. Its more remote compared to tortuguero itself but amazing to stay for 2 days. It is not as crowded as Tortuguero is. And Owen (my guide for the day) was a great guide with really good knowledge and a high interest in animal life and nature
