Located in Puerto Colombia, 500 metres from Puerto Colombia Beach, Villa Margarita provides accommodation with an outdoor swimming pool, free private parking, a garden and a private beach area. The moment we walked through the door we felt at home! The staff were all so lovely, greeting us, helping us navigate the area - and even a bonus Colombian history lesson over breakfast! The garden space was really spacious and beautiful with plenty of hammocks, and the pool/jacuzzi was great for cooling down. Breakfasts were varied and delicious! We came for Barranquilla and had a great time in town, but were very grateful to return to the oasis of Villa Margarita every day. It was easy to get into Barranquilla, a bus from down the road or taxi for 30.000 to 50.000. There were also some delicious restaurants- Fratelli d'Italia for incredible pizza and El Rustico for lovely local food. We didn't want to leave!
