We came at a time when the weather wasn't great so many of the popular attractions were closed, and our host was able to provide advice for things we could do instead, one of which ended up being a trip highlight 'the Devil's Throat'. Also recommended a great French bakery where the croissants were incredible! Rooms are small but cosy and comfortable. There was a small kitchen to prepare a cup of tea in the morning and a fridge to store food. They also have the sweetest cat and little doggy to top off the stay!

Maite, the girl who is working there, is very helpfull and prepares a good breakfast.

Although it is located far from the town's center, the hotel is like a refuge, there is not much movement and it is very peaceful. It is possible to rent bicycles to go faster to the town centre, although we didn't rent one, we went on foot. They seemed to be doing some work to improve the space, but more improvements were needed in the surroundings. The street needed to be significantly improved, but it's not the hotel's fault. I highly recommend it if you want to spend a few days, there is parking for your car. TIP for travellers: San Pedro de Atacama seems to be a calm place, there is a lot to see and getting around by car seems to be a much more pleasant option than rushing around on tours. Shower water is hot during the day, and at night it takes a little longer to heat up. Self-service breakfast and complete. Elvira kindly prepared the table for us each morning.

Featuring a new and convenient location only a 5-minute walk from the bus station and a 10-minute walk from the town centre, Hostal Campo Base offers accommodations in San Pedro de Atacama. That was the best choice in my life. Rodriguo is super friendly, helpful and trustworth man! His every advise is like the tips&trics from your best friend. Before I came to campo base he has contacted me without asking and left with the most important informations about how to get here and how to get a chilian pesos. All excursions recomended by Rodriguo was worth to visit, especially Bolivia trip. Breakfests are super nice! Fresh egg or omlets, Fresh fruits are the only part of that dish. Its very clean and atmosphere is super nice. Thank you for staying in Campo Base. That was real pleasure!
