The city center is a 7-10 min walk but there are convenient stores on the street and a Peruvian restaurant right around the block that served good food for the price in comparison to city center. There is a community kitchen where you can prepare your own food, tea or coffee. The wifi worked well as did the hot water. during the winter there is no central heat (normal throughout the town) so a space heater and blankets will be what keeps you warm.

Shuttle services can be arranged for an extra fee. My experience at Hostal Campo Base was excellent. The location is perfect, very close to the main tourist spots, which made it easy to get around the city and explore everything it had to offer. What impressed me the most was the friendliness of the staff. From the moment I arrived, I felt at home. Rodrigo, in particular, was amazing in helping me coordinate a tour. He offered several options and took care of everything, making sure everything was perfectly organized and tailored to my interests. Thanks to him, I had a memorable tour experience without any worries. The breakfast was also a pleasant surprise, with fresh and varied options that gave me the energy to start my day off right. Additionally, the cleanliness of the place was spotless, which made me feel very comfortable and at ease during my stay. I would definitely recommend Hostal Campo Base to anyone looking for a welcoming, well-located place with exceptional service. My stay was very pleasant, and I would certainly return.
