Set in Amden, 45 km from Einsiedeln Abbey, Schwendihaus offers accommodation with a garden, free private parking, a shared lounge and a terrace. The hostel provides mountain views, a children's playground, and free WiFi is available throughout the property. Amazing location. Room was small for a family and very basic, bed and bathroom. So we upgraded to the apartment which was way better, fully equipped kitchen, 2 bedrooms.

I don't know if I was on a hiking high, or if this was the best hostel I've stayed in, but either way, I can't recommend it enough! The location is easily accessible from the ferry port, facilities are very clean with fresh bedding and towels ready on the bed. Picking up the keys from the security box was quick and simple. The shower pressure is great and there is a clothesline outside to dry your stuff (if you are coming back sweaty from a hike!). I only wish I could have stayed longer.

Great location. Beautiful view from the room on the mountains. Spacious and clean room. Good restaurant. Easy parking. If you are not used to driving in the mountains, getting to the hotel can be quite an experience. I do recommend the hotel.

Great location, superb hosts, breakfast was well catered with a good selection on evening menu, great loction for train which easy to use and on time. Hotel has good carparking. The hotel is well managed with great staff
