Don’t miss the breakfast it was delicious and was prepared with wonderful care. We enjoyed a lot and decided to stay one more night. We totally recomend this experience.

The Hotel&Hostel Montarina occupies a historic Villa built around 1860, only 200 metres from the Lugano train station. Everything. Didn’t get a chance to use pool but looked inviting! Breakfast was wonderful! Such a lovely place! Great. value! Woodsy with flowers too! Got a free upgrade in hotel! Very helpful!

Location was beautiful and ideal for a stop over. The accommodation was a lovely surprise and our kids loved it too. The food and breakfast were very good too and the staff were friendly and helpful.

Surrounded by a lush garden, the Youth Hostel Locarno is 1.5 km away from the train station and the Lake Maggiore. Everything I expect from an HI hostel really. Particularly liked the dinner option in the evening and breakfast in the morning, which is a good money-saver. Friendly and helpful staff, clean and comfortable.
