Surrounded by a large garden, Youthhostel Lugano features an outdoor pool with deckchairs and sunshades, as well as children’s playground and volleyball, badminton and table tennis facilities. It was my second time staying there. The host was nice. The room and the bed were excellent.

The Hotel&Hostel Montarina occupies a historic Villa built around 1860, only 200 metres from the Lugano train station. Everything. Didn’t get a chance to use pool but looked inviting! Breakfast was wonderful! Such a lovely place! Great. value! Woodsy with flowers too! Got a free upgrade in hotel! Very helpful!

The location is a bit remote from the city of Lugano, but the views are wonderful and it's surrounded by nature. The house itself is very cozy, welcoming and well maintained.
