Char's Landing Hostel is set in Port Alberni and features a shared lounge. There is a sun terrace and guests can make use of free WiFi and free private parking. Char’s Landing is a very comfortable place to stay. It’s a short walk from the harbor and the grocery store. Everything you might need for cooking is there and there’s a grocery store in easy walking distance. It’s a small hostel and feels very safe. I would love to return some day. Also, if you’re lucky, there might be a concert while you’re there!

Set in Nanaimo and within 200 metres of Nanaimo Museum, Painted Turtle Guesthouse has a shared lounge, non-smoking rooms, and free WiFi. Welcoming reception even though I arrived few hours before check in official. Allowed to go to my room as bed was ready. Also changed room on request to a larger room. Also able to store my luggage over night as I didn't want to bring it up stairs.
