I don't know why anybody would book another hostel in Byron when this place exists. I've never stayed in such a perfect hostel (but that's like, a personal thing I guess), and for the price what you get is absolutely insane. I arrived on a 14 hour greyhound bus from Sydney and was only supposed to check in at 14pm. Not only did the guy at the reception let me check in early, but he also upgraded my room from an 8 person dorm to a 4 person dorm (a blessing and a course, because everyone in this hostel is so nice that sleeping in a bigger dorm must be so so fun!!)
My room had a private bathroom, but there are public male/female bathrooms for rooms that don't have privates - everything is amazingly clean and newly renovated. The bathroom in my room had shampoo, conditioner and body gel & lotion. (Not sure if the public ones have this as well)
The hostel holds activities such as BBQ night, free daily yoga, free boxing classes, surf lessons etc, the common area is still in the work (the whole place is new and being renovated - there isn't any noise though if that's worrying you) but I'm sure it's gonna turn out amazing, right now the best place to meet other travelers are the lobby and the kitchen, which are both great, clean and fun to hang out in.
The rooms are spacious and private, the beds have curtains, and the whole thing feels more like a hotel than a hostel facility wise.
The lobby is fantastic and has a big TV with Netflix on it! The friends I met there and I watched movies every night in the reception area which really made my stay even nicer.
Overall, this is truly an amazing place. Great shout out to the amazing kind staff. So thankful for this stay and kept extending and extending because how can you leave such a place.

I will be back :)

Probably best hostel stayed in in Australia. Great rooms, comfortable beds, always hot showers. You can rent surfboards for cheap and free yoga. Staff very friendly.
I adored this YHA! It's one of the best hostels I stayed in in Australia. It's in a beautiful building with a big kitchen, big common room and nice garden. I booked a queen room which was great price-quality. The YHA is about 10-15 min walk from the station and about 15-20 min walk from the three sisters. Great location to di some hiking, or to just hide out from the fog and rain with a good book. Staff is great and they offer a very nice breakfast buffet
Friendly staff, amazing shower !!! Great budget breakfast.. cheaper than buying from McDonalds , comfy bed , really great location
The hostel has a great location! There’s always at least one staff in case you need any help, free dinner every day and it’s perfect to socialize with other backpackers. All in all a place to recommend!
Probably one of the best hostel vibes I’ve experienced. Great location, within walking distance to many attractions. The train station, light rail and buses are also close. I liked the various daily social activities the hostel provided and the free breakfast. The dining area is also a great way to meet people and is always lively. Bunk beds are quite big ( much bigger than standard) with curtains, charger and lamp.
By far the best hostel I’ve stayed in! Decor is lovely and homely, staff are amazing, events are great for meeting people, there’s plenty of space for working if needed, the location is perfect, the beds were so comfy and the place was very well kept and cleaned.
The location was amazing, everything you need right outside, convenience store, groceries, cafes, restaurants, central train station 2 blocks away. For a budget hostel it has everything you need for a short and cheap stay, super clean and modern, staff were really friendly, personal and helpful.
The hostel offers budget-friendly accommodation without compromising on cleanliness or safety. Conveniently located near popular attractions and public transportation, making it easy for backpackers to explore the area.
If you are a backpacker/tourist like me that is on a budget, this hostel is for you! Accommodation is incredibly cheap, great ambience and atmosphere. The rooms are on high standard regardless what you’ve paid for. One thing I love the most is that it is close to everything like shopping centre, restaurants, railway station as well as close to Sydney Opera House and other tourist attraction.
perfect place - great location, spacious unit & balconies, and super clean and friendly onsite managers. easy stroll into town (best not to stay in town - busy, noisy and like a backpackers hostel), and a few minutes walk to beautiful safe beach.
