Offering a terrace and views of the mountains, Hostel Bad Goisern is set in Bad Goisern in the Salzkammergut, 4 km from Lake Hallstatt. Place was cozy. Only 6 min walk from Train station. Love the stuff over there. Helpful and friendly.

Jugendgästehaus Bad Ischl offers accommodation in Bad Ischl, 20 km from Hallstatt, featuring free WiFi in public areas, a furnished terrace and a games room with table tennis and table football... Perfectly clean room & toilet. Basic equipment, but very sturdy, functional and "as new" condition - very clean. Owner/staff takes great care of the room/building. Breakfast was also fantastic - basic, but absolutely great and tasty.

Set in Mondsee, 29 km from Messezentrum Exhibition Center, Jugendgästehaus Mondsee offers accommodation with a garden, free private parking, a shared lounge and a terrace. The Gaestehaus is an excellent address for family looking to stay relatively cheap, the room was clean and spacious enough for 2adults and 2 teens, bedsheets and towels can be provided for extra fees. Breakfast was good. Free parking.

Located directly at Lake Wolfgang, Jugendgästehaus Sankt Gilgen offers free WiFi and free private parking. The Zwölferhorn Cable Car is 400 metres away. Perfect stuff. Perfect location.

Featuring numerous sports facilities, this hostel in Obertraun enjoys a scenic location between Lake Hallstatt and the Dachstein range. It also has an outdoor pool and a spa area. This is a wonderful location and fine facility to use as a base for exploring Hallstatt and Dachstein-Krippenstein, both of which are just a few minutes drive away. The staff were incredibly friendly (including when we were about 20 minutes late for our check-in and a kind lady stayed late to meet us). Our family of 5 stayed in two rooms, which were large and very clean. They were essentially nice dorm rooms, each with 3 single beds and a private bath. It is a pretty location with nice views of the mountains. We also appreciated the parking available for our rental car. Hallstatt is about a 5 minute drive up the road. Because we were so close, we were able to get to Hallstatt early in the day to find a good parking spot in Park Platz 2 (very near the funicular up to the salt mine) before the crowds arrived.

Located at the foot of the Dachstein Mountain, Jutel Obertraun is 4 km from Lake Hallstatt. Staffs are really nice. The room was exactly in the image. Breakfasts are good!
