With scenic views of Calafate´s mountains and lake, this hostel is a 7-minute walk from downtown Calafate. It features accommodation with floor heating, free Wi-Fi, communal kitchen and laundrette. Helpful and friendly staff. Breakfast was great and started early if you had to leave early in the morning. The evenings were entertaining and busy in the restaurant area. The drinks were phenomenal.

Our second stay here. It's one of the cleanest hostels I have stayed in. You can see that they work hard to maintain it. The location is great and a short walk to the town and a supermarket just down from the hostel. The owner Andy is really friendly and makes you feel very welcome. I would definitely recommend if going to El Calafate. The only thing to note is that it says that breakfast is included but this consists of biscuits and small dried tostadas and jams.

I stayed at a cheaper hostel in the area which was also nice, but this was a more social environment.

Vi bodde i var sin våningssäng i delat rum tillsammans med två andra och egen toalett. Trevligt ställe med mycket hjälpsam personal. De hjälpte till med en jättefin tur till glaciären. Bra kök och vi kunde tvätta våra kläder på övervåningen

Rancho Grande Hostel är ett stort vandrarhem i ranch-stil med fantastisk utsikt över Patagoniens berg. WiFi är gratis i alla utrymmen. I’m not sure why this hostel/hotel has this rating cause I’d definitely give it a 9.5 out of 10! We stayed in a private room and it was great: warm, clean, all the toiletries provided. The breakfast was the best we’ve had so far in Patagonia! The receptionists at the check in are very helpful and friendly. Gracias Valentin por todos!

Hostel Danny ligger i El Calafate, 5 km från Argentinosjön och 9 minuters promenad från El Calafate Regional Museum. Nice family-run hostel who welcomes and treats you like family as well. Rooms are simple but comfortable, and location is unbeatable! Right in the centre! Staff were lovely - even though our Spanish was very limited they did their best to communicate with us and did not mind using google translate to help. Reception can also help book excursions to the glacier. There is simple breakfast available on a tips basis :)
