Breakfast is REALLY very good! Location depends what you're looking for. It's a bit out of town but real close to the bus terminal.

Rancho Grande Hostel is a large ranch-style hostel with stunning views of the Patagonian Mountains. Free WiFi is available throughout the property. We had a private room and bathroom. It was clean and comfortable. Access to the common area was great.

Set against an impressive Patagonian Mountain backdrop, Bla Guesthouse is a quaint guest house in downtown El Calafate. Bla Guest House was awesome from the moment we walked in. Although we arrived very late because our bus from Puerto Natales was 2.5 hours late, we had a warm welcome and a very nice chat with the host. Our apartment was extremely comfortable and had everything we needed. It did not have a hairdryer but we asked for one when we needed it and the problem was solved immediately. The breakfast consists of sweets and bread/cereal so please keep this in mind if you're expecting a protein-rich meal. I would say it's decent for the price of the accommodation. There's also coffee and a variety of teas. PS: I rated the room sound isolation 4/5 not because the other guests were noisy, but because our window had a direct view of a neighboring garden where people partied and had parilla till late at night. But everything was calm and it really wasn't a big deal for us. We will definitely return to Bla Guest House!
