At America del Sur Hostel, all rooms and dormitories have beautiful views of the valley and mountains beyond. They offer private bathrooms, lockers and heating. The staffs are extremely friendly and enthusiastic, we had no problem communicating in English. The stay was pleasant, with very cool common area and scenic view, a little bit far from main street but still within walking distance. The food is tasty at the restaurant, breakfast is ok.

My dad and I shared a private room and we were able to reconfigure the beds to have enough room for us and all our ski gear. It was a convenient drive up to the mountain. It seems like it would be more difficult to get to the mountain without a car. But a guy we met was able to take Uber each day. Everyone was super nice and it was so comfortable.

All the euipements well maintained. Hot water, lamp and big locker,curtain besides a small bag to put your electronic devices when recharging! I will be definitely back when travel yo el calafate.
