I stayed here 4 nights and I would like to suggest here as a very ideal option for budgeted tourists visiting the city.
Conveniently connected to the core tourist area, the biggest bazaar, as well as the railway station and the airport by bus or taxi.
The kitchen is not large but lovely and has adequate kitchen ware to make meals.
The host is very great, he helped on making up the bed when I arrived, and in other hostels this is usually done by the guests self. Amd they clean the space every night, making it neat and tidy all the time.

Went with the Jahongir GH because the guidebooks recommended it and wasn’t disappointed. If you don’t really want to spend money on an overpriced boutique hotel or risk an unknown backpacker hostel, this is a nice balance. The place we clean, full of character and the breakfast was amazing. The beds we’re simple but probably the most comfortable I slept in throughout my stay in Uzbekistan (even some 4 star hotel beds can’t compete. The location is great too, close to Registan but not too close that you’ll hear the tourist swarms.
It was my second stay at this Hotel. Great location and security. Great location for sight seeing very safe. The property was very well kept and charming and the staff very attentive and the breakfast was perfect, I highly recommend this location for those who are having their first trip to Samarkand
The best hostel I've stayed in in Ouzbekistan. The dorms are very well equiped and confortable (curtains, individual light, power socket). The included breakfast is very good and filling. And it's a great place to meet other travellers !
I spent 2 nights in NABI BOBO hostel (female dormitory) and really enjoyed it. It is super close to Registan and main attractions, it has a family restaurant with tasty shashlik and plov and hosts were really nice and helped me with everything needed (call a cheap taxi, for example). It is more like family guest house than International hostel, that was exactly what I wanted. :)
I even managed to check in really early and take shower before going out for sightseeing. As a solo female traveller I felt safe.

Reception both the staff girls were very courteous & helping. Kitchen was well equiped & clean N it was fun to cook. Everything is at 5minutes walk from the hostel. This hostel is super clean, beds are comfy, rooms are spacious, kitchen has everything you may need. The location is absolutely fine, since the taxis are super cheap if you want to get to the old town. Even though it’s located on the main road, it was quiet and safe, of course. Hosts are kind and helpful. Overall, a really great accommodation, especially for the price you pay.
