The hostel is in a very good position, close to the bus terminal and the grocery store and perfectly in the middle between the two main beaches.
It's the cheapest hostel in the area and the common areas are quite nice. It has 5 bathrooms which is great for the quantity of people staying.

It is perfectly located, making it easy to explore the area. The rooms are comfortable, clean, and beautifully landscape and it is quiet, calm, unlike the one next door. It seemed more lively, with more amenities, although at the bedtime, I'm not sure it was quiet. My mother and I are older, although we chose this one for location and reviews.

We had a private room in a bit older building of the hostel, but it was a large room, with a good, big bed and a perfect shower (even a rain shower!). Wifi worked very well. There are a couple of common rooms which you can also use, even if you have booked a private room. That's very nice in the evening. It's nice that the breakfast includes fresh fruit. Regarding the price, the stay is absolutely good value for money. But what really makes Negrita Hostel the absolutely perfect stay is owner Camillo: he is very friendly, attentive and gave us a lot of information: restaurants in the area, but also in Punta del Este and even on the way to Montevideo. Also good information about museums, sights, things to do,... I would absolutely stay in Negrita Hostel again if I would travel to the region again.
