Budget travelers know there's no better way to make the most of their trip than by staying at a hostel: Save money for exploring during the day, and swap stories with fellow backpackers in the shared kitchen or bar in the evening. Dorm-style bedrooms with shared bathrooms are standard hostel fare, but private rooms are also available for those willing to pay a little more.
The room was spacious and clean, beds were comfortable. Staff was friendly, competent and helpful. It's in a great location in downtown Eugene, right next to the Hult Center. Pro tip: hotel parking is expensive, but there are two parking garages within a block of the hotel where you can park for $8/night.
I liked that the hostel was in a neighborhood. Also close to a store and local restaurants. It was quiet for the most part. Also everything was in walking distance.
We were at this hotel for the first time and it was amazing! Great rooms, great pool and very good breakfast! The room has all the amenities: coffee maker, refrigerator, microwave, hair dryer, safe, iron. Everything is done very stylishly. The owner of the hotel has very good taste 👍 Large parking! Traveling to many cities, this is one of those places where we felt safe! I recommend this hotel to everyone who will be in the city of Eugene. Thank you very much!
Great location, easy to access from the highway in a very cool neighbourhood. We loved our visit to the Beergarden. If it wasn't so very hot, we would have explored more of the cool places in the neighbourhood.
Great location and helpful staff! The best part about the hostel is the common areas: it's spacious enough and a good environment to chill, cook & eat, or get online for studies or work. I was a University student and stayed here while waiting to move in to my permanent housing. It's fairly close to campus (walk, bike or bus ride) and the Whiteaker neighborhood is a must-see in Eugene!
The Eugene Hostel is a classic backpacker haven. It is chill, yet well managed. The staff are eclectic artists, musicians, and humble happy go lucky folk. As someone who has stayed in over three hundred hotel rooms, and or Airbnb's, hostels, and campsites in the past decade, I can honestly say, this place is awesome. Proximity to real, independent art, music, and food is one of the many aspects, that make this place what it is.
Great vibes at this hostel. Very laid back with a friendly staff.
Close to transit, grocery and some good restaurants.
Men's dorm is simple with bunk beds and nothing else. But there are some good common rooms with AC.
