Great location in a very safe neighbourhood. Room was very generous in size. Lots of great restaurants in the surrounding streets and the street car stop makes it so easy to get around the city. Love the old school hotel touches - a folder with information on the neighborhood and Portland in general - seems to be a thing of the past now days but I appreciated it. Also liked the 24/7 coffee and tea bar and free breakfast.
Set in a lovely leafy suburb, great location for restaurants and easy access to Zoo. Area felt safe and pleasant. Easy check in process and suites a generous size.

I wanted a centrally located hotel at reasonable rates with an appealing environment as a bonus. As an architect I appreciated the attention to detail in the hotel. I found the slight quirkiness to be endearing. Slight flavor of a "youth hostel" but with an upscale spin. We enjoyed our stay. We had made an error in our booking and they were very accommodating to fix that. Great stay.
Great location near the airport but in a safer area of town than close to airport. Very comfortable and soundproof so did not hear planes flying over and our neighbors would not have been disturbed by our coughing.

This was the best hostel I have stayed at by far. The bed was extremely comfortable. The ballroom was clean and the showed had curtains which prevented the floors.from becoming soaking wet. They also had an elevator which made it easier for me to transport my luggage from the lobby to the upstairs. They also had free juice and a bagel for breakfast at the cafe next door.
