Budget travellers know that there is no better way to make the most of their trip than by staying at a hostel: save money for exploring during the day, and swap stories with fellow backpackers in the shared kitchen or bar in the evening. Dorm-style bedrooms with shared bathrooms are standard hostel fare, but private rooms are also available for those willing to pay a bit more.
Stephanie, the owner, is really far too humble to name her mountain lodging a hostel. Her property is so well managed, sparkling clean, spacious, colorful and cultured. It reminded me of the design school in Finland, and many nice memories when I traveled in my youth. Look forward to taking the whole family back!
A real hidden gem in the mountain! The location is amazing if you are interested in hiking, with a lot of nice trails in close proximity and white sands national park less than an hour away.
The hostel is really beautiful, warm and charming, with really nice and clean common areas. The owner is welcoming, helpful and knows the area like her pocket. The beds are comfy and the room was really nice.
Hands down one of the very best hostel I've stayed in!
Amazing amazing amazing hostel! Stephanie runs this place like a well oiled machine! She takes the time to reach out to you about everything and has the best customer service. the hostel is super clean and everything is laid out super well. it’s in a beautiful location and I highly highly recommend this place to anyone! we met some super cool people there too and played Yahtzee before heading out to white sands the next day (it’s a 30 min scenic drive)
Everything. Great location. Informative and. Friendly Host. Cleanliness of Hostel. Hot water for showers. Well equipped kitchen. Quiet area. Comfortable bed. Individual heater in room\area. Reading lamps at bed.
What a great find! Its so hard to find hostels in the United States. This one exceeded our expectations! The owner is very friendly and informative! The rooms are very clean and the beds are comfy! The location was gorgeous up in the mountains about 20 minutes from Alamogordo so youre out of the hustle and bustle but still close! We had a great time here and wish we could have stayed longer to do some hiking! If we ever make it back to New Mexico we definitely will be stopping here again! I would highly recommend!
