Chrystie Street Apartments, hotel in Brooklyn

These accommodations with kitchen facilities are in the Lower East Side in New York.

Very nice gentleman who showed us to our apartment. Gave us tips of where to eat, and some details about the neighborhood as we walked to the units. He was the best part of the experience, no complaints with him. The neighborhood is a mixed bag, but I consider it a positive being next to a park, a subway station, and so many great food options. I will say the price would be a great value for 4-8 people, if it wasn't for the negatives below.

Our bedroom was very comfortable and relaxing, would recommend getting room with AC unit if traveling during the summer. Everything was very clean, and each floor had a kitchen and bathroom. Other guests where friendly and respectful. We felt safe at the location and it was overall cozy. No bedbugs!! Major pro.

I was expecting typical tiny closet sized NYC accommodation but the 6 bed dorm room was bigger than my house! I felt super comfortable and enjoyed having the bathroom attached to the room as well. The facilities of the hostel were also great with a kitchen and cheap vending machines as well as a massive library selection and gaming room.

This is a basic hotel, one step up from a hostel primarily because you get a room with a bathroom. It's fairly clean, located near the N and D train, it's cheap and it's one of the best deals for a traveler on a budget.

Second time staying at this hostel, it's always a safe bet but nothing special. Sadly, hostels in NYC (or in the US) don't offer much quality or a hostel vibe. This one has a good location close to a metro station in Brooklyn. The room was clean, and probably their greatest plus is that their beds are twin beds and not bunk beds.
