Very basic backpackers hostel, but you have everything you need, good vibes included. The manager is excellent, always helpful for anything (information, excursions, etc.). Breakfast is super!

The dormitory is spacious and has a bathroom inside. All bathrooms has hot water! It was kept clean all the time. This is definitely a hostel that provides everything you need!

Everything was just perfect! One of the best hostels i have ever stayed! Good choice if you're a solo traveller as you can easily meet other people! Tasty food, amazing staff, good location, super super clean (specially the bathrooms!)...and i loved the silence rule after 22.30! Asante sana Makofi!
Nice vibes, nice people, and awesome host, also the rooftop was the one of the highlights of this hostel. Definitely do the snorkling tour, its so cheap and amazing
I’d say that greens is a great option if you want an accommodation in Nungwi that’s budget friendly. It’s close to the center and close enough to the beach. As a female solo traveler I’ve always felt safe in the neighborhood, even at night time.

Really affordable place, AC in dormitory, bathroom with hot water in dormitory (all bathrooms have hot water) , a big breakfast, TV in the common area and a pool.
For almost no money at all. It’s the best hostel I ever stayed. The garden is really nice and the staff is very good. It feels like coming to a friend.

Perfect for a backpackers traveling on a budget. In the middle of the village, 5 min with local motorbike to the main beaches. Adriana has been very kind and gave us all tips to enjoy our stay.
Try out local restaurants you find nearby, they are cheap and tasty.
Moreover in front of the house lives a Boda Boda driver, make sure to take his number to discover the surrounding
I really enjoyed my stay at Nungwi Backpacker Apartments! Crazy Man is really friendly, helpful and makes the absolute best breakfast! There is coffee and tea all the time! The rooms are not the most luxurious, but I really liked the common area with all the plants and hangmats! It was the best hostel I stayed at in Zanzibar. If I ever go back to Zanzibar I would definitely go back to Nungwi Backpacker Apartments!
