We arrived in the late evening after landing at JRO. We spent there just one night before embarking on a safari in Serengeti.
We were given two beautiful rooms - they were of great size and very comfortable. The rooms had a universal power plug --- a very thoughtful for international travelers.
The bathroom was sizeable, the internet worked very well.
The owners prepared a REALLY delicious dinner for us. The dining room was very stylish, and the meal was awesome! Breakfast was really good as well.

Noemi is a very engaged hostel manager with empathy and flexibility. The beds, floors, sanitaries are VERY clean. The complimentary breakfast is fresh& tasty. I had wonderful sleeps. Nearby city center plus great markets, shops, bus stations.

We really liked Serengeti Villa, it is a great alternative to staying (too) close to the city center. The villa is very self-contained so you don't need to get out often if you don't want to and it is very safari-oriented as people often depart for safari from there, and come back. The Swahili food they serve is absolutely amazing and the staff very kind! The rooms are well furnished and decorated in the Maasai style, the bedding is also great and extra blankets are provided just in case.

Ligia and Joshua were wonderful hosts. It was like staying with friends. The house was clean; bedroom spacious and comfortable; breakfast of fresh fruits, toast with fresh tomatoes, hard boiled eggs and onions was good; great pets - two lovely African village dogs, Kes and Kira; within 1 km of downtown Arusha. I would be glad to stay here again.

The place is well maintained. The host was so kind and took the time to share valuable insights about the city and suggested activities to explore. It was wonderful to have such a caring and informative host during our stay. I would definitely book this home again.

It's a comfortable hostel, the service is impeccable and the breakfast is delicious, plentiful and tasty, David put me in the double room where I could relax after a hot shower, I loved the company of the cat Lilith and the dog Yukii, I felt at home. home and when I return to Arusha I will definitelyI will host you there, oh David is a great driver and can take you anywhere for a much cheaper price than a taxi. Wow, what a find! Tucked away in a lush banana plantation near Arusha, this eco-hostel stole my heart. My cozy barn cabin felt like a treehouse dream, complete with a porch swing and stunning Mount Meru views.
But the real showstopper? The incredibly cheap eats and drinks! I feasted on delicious organic meals straight from the farm without breaking the bank.

This property is fantastic for backpackers, budget travellers, woofers and those looking for an environmental stay. The banana and coffee plantation surround the rooms giving wonderful views. Rooms are basic and clean, with eco-generated hot water and electricity. The tour around the property was reasonably interesting. For the price you pay, you can't go wrong.
We had a fantastic stay at this hostel. Everyone was really friendly and the atmosphere was great. The rooms are comfortable and we felt so safe here. The staff and the owner are lovely people and helped us so much. Outside is a beautiful chill area for just enjoying the evening.We can definitely recommend.
The staff is realy kind and helpfull. The rooms are fine. You pay a good (cheap) price to stay here and a nice breakfast is included. Dinner is possible, they serve delicious food. We had a lovely stay. I would definetly recommend this hostel, especially for students.

Arusha has many youth hostels, but a lot of them are in inconvenient and difficult-to-find locations. It's not entirely safe to walk around Arusha after dark, so that can be a problem. Green Garden is in a fantastically central location, but still on a quiet, green side street where you don't hear the city's loud traffic at all. And the grounds of the hostel are really beautiful.
