I only stayed for the night, but the room was cute and comfy. Host was wonderful. There is a strict check in time but it is only about a 15 minute walk from the main station.

The hostel is very near to the main train station and bus stand. Bed is sufficiently large and has good comfort.I recommend this hostel for stay. Washrooms were clean, and there was a cute black cat.

Essentially clean and well organized. Travelers Plus was Abe to accommodate us after asking to stay an extra night. The first night we had a double room with private bathroom, the second night we had a four person dorm room which was very clean, comfortable and spacious. It was bigger than the private room. 😂

Cute, cozy and quiet hostel in central Chiayi City with a well equipped kitchen, free laundry facilities, and thoughtfully arranged bathrooms. The self check-in threw me at first because there are absolutely no staff on site, but they are responsive to questions on WhatsApp. It’s super quiet and not the kind of hostel to meet people, but perfect for those who like their privacy and do independent activities. Highly recommend for introverted travellers!!

It was incredibly clean and the rooms/ beds were so cozy. I loved the comforter and slept so well. There was nice warm lighting. The common area was relaxing and had a full kitchen and plenty of space in the fridge. They provided toast and jam and milk you could eat for breakfast or a snack, as well as plenty of tea bags. Lots of natural light and a coffee shop downstairs. The woman working helped me when I forgot my room code. It’s also a 3 minute walk from the train station so I didn’t have to worry about getting there with my large backpack. The beds are so comfortable and big and you have your own private space and it feels more hotel-like than like a hostel- but great value!

Very clean, quiet and right by the train station with nice cold AC. The staff are very sweet and allowed us to store our bikes inside which was appreciated. Would especially recommend the deluxe quadruple room which has an incredible city view.

Set in an over 50 year’s old 4-story building, 10 minutes’ walk from Chiayi Railway Station and Art Site of Chiayi Railway Warehouse, Chia Kon Hotel is located in Chiayi City.
Great location, close to station and night market. Very clean and comfortable. Coffee and (milk) tea free of charge. Breakfast is just toast with jam/peanut butter, but it is a nice extra. The hostel is especially spacious: the common area and showers are huge!

The kitchen so hugeeeeee and they have all equipment for us to cooks. I will definitely come and stay here again.. Love the atmosphere and the interior design.

Great location, a 5-minute walk from the train station and not far from the night market. Very clean and well-equiped bathroom. Comfortable beds. Friendly staff. Very nice coffee shop on the ground floor. Safe : all doors fitted with keypad locks. Wide beds.
Very comfortable and provided all the essentials, only a 7 minute walk from Chaiyi station and the staff are very accommodating:) for a cheap stay there isnt much to complain about!
This hostel is quiet big, especially the common area. It's really good for everyone stay there. The shower was great , with washing machine, drying machine. Room size not so big but enough for backpacker. Kitchen own everything you need.
It's very close to night market and there is a park across the street, people working there speak a little english. If you are traveling on a budget, it's very practical for the bus station as well. Good for one night stay if you are ok with more needing a cheaper, more practical and well situated place to stay and can live with less comfort and hygiene standards.

I've stayed in this type of capsule before and it's quite roomy. They're not very sound proof though so if you have inconsiderate neighbours who bang doors etc, can be noisy,
Joint hostel areas are great, kitchen and bathrooms. They have towels and other things for rent if you don't have your own.
The bunk beds are wide and have quiet head space to sit up comfortably. The women-only dorm and washrooms are protected with digital locks, which was extra helpful from the safety pov. The open kitchen and breakfast bar were really great esp if you are trying to catch an early bus to Alishan. The location is quite good by being within walking distance from Chiayi TRA station (TRA and not HSR... I made this mistake)
