The self check-in went smoothly. This hostle has an amazing common room. It's not too big, but it's cute and cozy. You can find all the necessary facilities in their mini kitchen. There's a mat on the floor next to the window with cozy cushions where you can relax.
The beds are comfortable and large. The location is also very good. The bathrooms are out of the rooms and are very clean. There were also hair driers outside of the bathrooms. The rooms are a bit small, so I took my bags outside the room the next morning to pack.

It’s so conveniently located outside Chiayi Train Station! The whole place is clean and very beautifully decorated. Bring your own towel, toothpaste and toothbrush. Hairdryer is provided, beds are clean and comfortable. We stayed for 2 nights, thankful to be so close to the train station and be well rested.

We stayed in a dorm and it was great. I've never been in a better structured dorm before. It didn't feel like a lot of people at all even so there were definitely a lot in there. You had your own little corner, space to store your luggage, your own TV, table, curtain, safe, socket and light. It was very clean. The bathrooms were always clean as well and the property's location is great. I highly recommend this place.

The room was very nice and tidy, and the bed was very comfortable. They provided all amenities like towels, soap etc. They also asked if we needed a toothbrush.
The check-in staff were very helpful, especially with payment. They also allowed us to leave our bags before the check-in time and helped us find a bus to where we wanted to go.
I liked how the doors were all locked using a code, though it may be hard to remember at first, it is much better than worrying about loosing a key card.

This property exceeded our expectation. The area is peaceful and quiet, just a few minutes walk to the National Chung Cheng University (NCCU aka Meteor Garden's Ying De University).
The actual unit for rent is spacious and offers great value for your money. Host offers free hot water, coffee and tea. There's a vendo beside the building (noodles, sodas) in case you get hungry.
Bed is spacious and comfortable with enough room space for your things. Bathroom is fully equipped, with hot and cold water, furutistic vanity mirror.

Kite Hostel is a homelike spot in Chiayi, close to Wenhua Road Night Market. You may easily walk to Chiayi Railway Station in 12 minutes. The famed Alishan lays just a stone's throw away.

Great location, close to station and night market. Very clean and comfortable. Coffee and (milk) tea free of charge. Breakfast is just toast with jam/peanut butter, but it is a nice extra. The hostel is especially spacious: the common area and showers are huge!

The kitchen so hugeeeeee and they have all equipment for us to cooks. I will definitely come and stay here again.. Love the atmosphere and the interior design.

Great location, a 5-minute walk from the train station and not far from the night market. Very clean and well-equiped bathroom. Comfortable beds. Friendly staff. Very nice coffee shop on the ground floor. Safe : all doors fitted with keypad locks. Wide beds.
Very comfortable and provided all the essentials, only a 7 minute walk from Chaiyi station and the staff are very accommodating:) for a cheap stay there isnt much to complain about!
This hostel is quiet big, especially the common area. It's really good for everyone stay there. The shower was great , with washing machine, drying machine. Room size not so big but enough for backpacker. Kitchen own everything you need.
It's very close to night market and there is a park across the street, people working there speak a little english. If you are traveling on a budget, it's very practical for the bus station as well. Good for one night stay if you are ok with more needing a cheaper, more practical and well situated place to stay and can live with less comfort and hygiene standards.

I've stayed in this type of capsule before and it's quite roomy. They're not very sound proof though so if you have inconsiderate neighbours who bang doors etc, can be noisy,
Joint hostel areas are great, kitchen and bathrooms. They have towels and other things for rent if you don't have your own.
The bunk beds are wide and have quiet head space to sit up comfortably. The women-only dorm and washrooms are protected with digital locks, which was extra helpful from the safety pov. The open kitchen and breakfast bar were really great esp if you are trying to catch an early bus to Alishan. The location is quite good by being within walking distance from Chiayi TRA station (TRA and not HSR... I made this mistake)
