Service of Preeya the owner was stellar. So easy going so helpful and also just open to chat. Always willing to give advice about timetables of things or even pop you over to the local pier if needed. Comfortable dorms that aren't too crowded. Lovely little breakfasts. Really central and easy to get everywhere. And basically a one stop shop for accommodation/tour/rental needs.

I loved the place - the location, its tranquility, room size, bed. Some complain about "hard mattress" but personally, I had a good sleep and I stayed there 3 nights. What's best about Mukda though is people who create it. The hosts are always there for you, caring very much to make everyone feel like home. If you don't fancy a 3in1 coffee that is offered at Mukda, Coffee Cup Cafe is a 15min walk away :) Location is really good as it's just a 5 min walk from an empty beach, if you rent a motorbike or a bicycle (yes, it's also possible!) you can easily go to the so called center (7/11 is there) and if you don't feel like going out, the hosts can cook a delicious meal for a very reasonable price on site. :)

Budget travelers know there's no better way to make the most of their trip than by staying at a hostel: Save money for exploring during the day, and swap stories with fellow backpackers in the shared kitchen or bar in the evening. Dorm-style bedrooms with shared bathrooms are standard hostel fare, but private rooms are also available for those willing to pay a little more.
Helpful and kind staff.
Near the main pier , restaurants , 7- eleven ,
and near the main attraction (most beautiful Leam Haad )
Convenience and clean .
Here is standard hostel on Koh Yao Yai islands
excellent hotel to travel with family. Gorgeous surroundings, secluded location. Everything is new &clean. Loved the salt water in the swimming pool at the spa. The kids area is safe, well equipped, the kids swimming pool also has salt water. The staff is careful
The Host was the nicest. He offered to pick us up and bring us back to the pier. We could also book private boat tours and kayak tours at a cheaper price than anywhere else on the island. They have a scooter rental and he even teached me how to drive the scooter. On top of that he accompanied my first drive to the beach, just to be safe. You can also do your laundry there.
The bungalow is so nice and really clean with a beautiful view to the green garden. It was really nice sitting outside enjoying the nature.
Best hostel I've ever had! The beds are super big and comfortable, the bathrooms are spacious. The owner is a gem, she can arrange motorcycles for you at the pier and even brought me when I departed. Super cute kittens everywhere :) also very social, easy to meet your dorm mates.
This hostel is in a really great location, close to the pier and the best beach on the island. Koh Yao Yai currently very quiet and the hostel had just one other person staying in it whilst I was there but I have a great time regardless and it’s really lovely to explore the island without many tourists. If you’re travelling alone and arrive at Klong Hia Pier don’t pay 300 for the taxi - ask them to take you on a motorbike instead and it only costs 100 baht.
