Backpack Hostel Kohyaoyai, hotel in Ko Yao Yai

Situated in Ko Yao Yai, 1.1 km from Laem Had Beach, Backpack Hostel Kohyaoyai features accommodation with free WiFi and free private parking.

The hostel is small and quiet but still social. The staff are so friendly and always happy to help. The island tour they offer has been one of the best tours I’ve done in South East Asia. Scooter rental is available at a great price. The beds are comfy in the dorms and the location is great. Just a 5 min walk from the pier drop off

Resting Place Ko Yao Yai, hotel in Ko Yao Yai

Resting Place Ko Yao Yai features a garden, shared lounge, a terrace and restaurant in Ko Yao Yai. Featuring a shared kitchen, this property also provides guests with a barbecue.

Place is peacefull and the rooms are quiet and very clean with good AC. Resting place is located at more quiet part of the island wich was perfect for us. Scooters can be easily rented via hotel and we highly recommend to rent one to get around the island. Hotel staff is very nice and welcomming and organizing the port transports, day tours and scooter rents went smoothly. Thai style breakfast at the Resting Place is also very good.

Big Hug Home-Nok kao house, hotel in Ko Yao Noi

Located in Ko Yao Noi, Big Hug Home-Nok kao house features a garden, shared lounge, terrace, and free WiFi throughout the property. Staff on site can arrange a shuttle service.

This place truly embodies its name, offering a rustic and authentic experience. The hosts are incredibly kind, friendly, and incredibly helpful. I felt immediately safe, welcome, and right at home. The food was exceptional. In fact, it was one of the two best meals I had in all of Thailand. The owner's cooking is fantastic, and the dinner itself was more than just a meal – it was a chance to share experiences with other guests and engage in unforgettable conversations (I learned a lot about monkeys!). The room was spacious, clean, and comfortable. You can conveniently rent a scooter on-site at a reasonable price. The owner also holds a license to sell cannabis, allowing you to purchase and enjoy it on the property. Highly recommended for anyone seeking a place with soul and a truly unique experience.

The Host was the nicest. He offered to pick us up and bring us back to the pier. We could also book private boat tours and kayak tours at a cheaper price than anywhere else on the island. They have a scooter rental and he even teached me how to drive the scooter. On top of that he accompanied my first drive to the beach, just to be safe. You can also do your laundry there. The bungalow is so nice and really clean with a beautiful view to the green garden. It was really nice sitting outside enjoying the nature.

Best hostel I've ever had! The beds are super big and comfortable, the bathrooms are spacious. The owner is a gem, she can arrange motorcycles for you at the pier and even brought me when I departed. Super cute kittens everywhere :) also very social, easy to meet your dorm mates.

This hostel is in a really great location, close to the pier and the best beach on the island. Koh Yao Yai currently very quiet and the hostel had just one other person staying in it whilst I was there but I have a great time regardless and it’s really lovely to explore the island without many tourists. If you’re travelling alone and arrive at Klong Hia Pier don’t pay 300 for the taxi - ask them to take you on a motorbike instead and it only costs 100 baht.
