The Castanea is so central to everything, set in the middle of old town, and just a 10-12 minute walk from the rail station. It’s comfortable, clean, has a great kitchen and shower/toilet facilities, and the best staff. It’s my second stay over 4 years and I wouldn’t hesitate returning.

Great location in the archipelago seeing the huge ships passing by, good home made breakfast, friendly staff, nice traditional Swedish house, extremely clean and nice rooms
What an excellent place to visit over midsommar weekend or any summer week. The grounds are fantastic. The rooms are clean and comfortable. The bathrooms are a litte cozy but this is a dorm, after all. Perfect hostel experience.
