Convenient.
Basic, but Good value.
Nice staff- let me hang out for 4 hours until my train.
Budget travelers know there's no better way to make the most of their trip than by staying at a hostel: Save money for exploring during the day, and swap stories with fellow backpackers in the shared kitchen or bar in the evening. Dorm-style bedrooms with shared bathrooms are standard hostel fare, but private rooms are also available for those willing to pay a little more.
Honestly this was one of my favorite hostels along the trek. The food was the BEST, the views and construction of the place was really impressive, and I just really loved the staff. Part of me wishes we planned a layover day here just to enjoy it more.
Amazing stay! The rooms are very comfortable (including private bathroom with hot showers), the view is amazing and the owner is super nice! At dinner the owner of the place told us about an alternative route to avoid all the groups the next day, which we really enjoyed. I actually left something behind at the hostel and the owner really helped getting it back to me. Would really recommend staying here.
Skip the guided tours, do the Salkantay Trek independently, and stay at this hostel! It's run by a lovely couple who will take good care of you during your stay and after, as Manuel and Jaqueline will give you invaluable advice for the next day on your trek. Very comfortable room and good food too, highly recommended!
Manuel and his family were awesome! They went above and beyond to make sure we got to our next hostel safely. The place was beautiful and clean with hot showers and delicious food. Definitely recommended!
This hostel was excellent! Manuel was a great host who went above and beyond when I had altitude sickness. The location is great and the dinner and breakfast which are included were amazing.
