Budget travellers know that there is no better way to make the most of their trip than by staying at a hostel: save money for exploring during the day, and swap stories with fellow backpackers in the shared kitchen or bar in the evening. Dorm-style bedrooms with shared bathrooms are standard hostel fare, but private rooms are also available for those willing to pay a bit more.
I came here in a dormitory as a solo traveler. The dorm was safe and clean. The kitchen was fine with enough equipment. When I arrived, the receptionist suggested me to go to fauna sauna (15-minute wall from the hostel), which was really nice you can dive in the Arctic Ocean there !
Great location, second best in town for backpackers (if the youth hostel is full) - however the service level and pricing is a bit over backpacker’s demands. Nice and quiet. Good breakfast, 7/24 checkin/out, luggage store, washing&drying equipment for no charge.
This is one of the best hostels we've stayed in. The kitchen had every amenity available and was comprehensively stocked with crockery and utensils. There was an extensive dining area in which to eat. The rooms were fitted with en-suite showers.
The hostel is cheap and centrally located. The beds are decently comfortable for the price and the lockers are appropriately sized for a piece of carry on luggage. The plugs next to each bed in the dorm worked well. The staff were decent.
Clean, basic just what we needed, good kitchen available for use aswell as washing facilities, everyone was really friendly. Best hostel I've stayed in by far
The location of the hostel is top notch if traveling by train. The room was clean, if basic- but it is a hostel! I will definitely stay again next time I am in Bodoe. As an older female solo traveler, I feel confident in recommending Bodoe Hostel as a safe, well located, reasonably priced accommodation. I had a great view, and I really appreciated the laundry room.
If you value sleep, the dorm rooms will not be the best option. Very crowded dorms, sleeps 8, in 4 bunk beds. Mattress worn out, kitchen was small and untidy. Lots of people coming and going at all hours. Worst part was the sound of the trains moving in the evening (hostel shares the train station building, room windows are right by the tracks). The location is great for both Ferry and Train, and the price is reasonable, but comfort and sleep will be affected.
I got off the hurtigruten ferry at 2am and this was the closest place. it’s a youth hostel. but I had a room to myself with bathroom.
