I had an amazing stay at this hotel and can’t recommend it enough! The staff were incredibly nice and friendly, always going above and beyond to make my stay comfortable. A special shoutout to Patric, who truly went out of his way to help me. He called a taxi for me and made sure all my luggage was safely loaded into it—such a thoughtful and kind gesture that I really appreciated!
The atmosphere of the hostel was warm and welcoming, and I already miss both the hostel and the beautiful area of Zaandam. It’s such a charming location with so much to explore. I would absolutely stay here again—thank you for such a memorable experience!

Well place was very comfortable but was very hard to make the check in
Budget travellers know that there is no better way to make the most of their trip than by staying at a hostel: save money for exploring during the day, and swap stories with fellow backpackers in the shared kitchen or bar in the evening. Dorm-style bedrooms with shared bathrooms are standard hostel fare, but private rooms are also available for those willing to pay a bit more.
This property is probably one of the best I have stayed in. Clean,well appointed, great location, really ample breakfast and a fantastic host. One you would always look for first when booking.
It’s an actual palace - such a cool experience! It’s such a beautiful proper, plus located conveniently to explore the area.
I booked the a place in the dorm room, it’s very simple but completely meets any hostel standards. Don’t forget to take your towel!

and position I knew from beginning it was 30km far away from Amsterdam

The hostel itself looks fantastic, being in an old castle. There was a decent selection of food for breakfast, which was provided at no extra cost. The cost of staying here a night was also very affordable. It's a pretty good starting point if you want to cycle in the country side.
A wonderful character building in the most lovely gardens which are being carefully restored. Our rooms in the Orangerie were fine, hostel accommodation but perfectly adequate. There was a bike parking area which was locked but as the key was just picked up and dropped off at the reception desk not terribly secure. Courtyard area was very relaxing for a beer or coffee..
The hostel is not cheap considering the standard of equipment and cleanliness of the rooms,
