Learned this was one of the original hostels on Ometepe. Breakfasts and dinners were freshly prepared with local ingredients. Their dogs and cats were very nice to spend time with. The hosts can lease scooters and deliver them for competitive prices. Communication with host prior to and during stay was excellent.

The location, ambience and accommodation proposal. Big and cozy rooms. The deck over the lake is nice although it can be annoying if it’s windy. The chocolate they produce is tasty. The food portions are big.

It’s a nice little oasis, not too far off the main road with a spot to park out front. The dorm beds were comfortable (and each had their own fan). There are nice places to chill, it’s well laid out, and the restaurant prices are very reasonable. When it’s not cloudy, you get a great view of volcano Concepcion from the 2nd floor. Irs pretty easy to chat with other travelers.
Budget travelers know there's no better way to make the most of their trip than by staying at a hostel: Save money for exploring during the day, and swap stories with fellow backpackers in the shared kitchen or bar in the evening. Dorm-style bedrooms with shared bathrooms are standard hostel fare, but private rooms are also available for those willing to pay a little more.
The hostel has a great location and is very lively.
Moreover the staff was very helpful and gave nice recommendations in terms of activity.
The share spaces were ok too and very welcoming.
The breakfast were generous and changed a bit of the usual breakfasts we had elsewhere in Nicaragua.
The probably best hostel I've been to. Nice location, relaxing environment, delicious breakfast and super lovely hosts. Daniela's and Tony's help was just outstanding. It felt like home. Highly recommended place to stay! :)
I’ve been traveling for 2 months in Central America and this was hands down the best hostel I’ve been to. The room was spacious and everyone had enough space for their bags, the outdoor space was gorgeous, from the landscape full of colorful plants and trees to hammocks and spacious outdoor tables for us to use. But mostly I cannot even explain how amazing the hosts were. Thank you so so soooo much Daniela and Tony for treating me and the other guests like family, I’ll never forget you!!!
Danilo is an extremly helpfull and likeable host. We enjoyed our stay at this Hostel a lot. The kitchen is well equipped and you can cook on your own to safe some money. Danilo will provide you with infos and tipps for activities on the island and you can as well rent a scooter or book a volcano-tour directly with him, which is super comfortable.
such a lovely family owned hostel. a cute oasis in the middle of town. lovely garden and chill area. very clean and safe. the family even have us a lift home from town one evening. we thought that was very kind.
The host of the hostel was helpfull and super nice. Big rooms with an amazing view on the volcano.
Functional kitchen and an great location. Highly recommended.
Nice and helpful staff. They even offered me medicine when I became ill. Cheap and safe rentals available. Especially nice was that I could store some of my luggage there for one night to do a tour around the island.
We planned to spend here just a couple of days but in the end we've been here almost a week. Majela and her family of her are very nice and welcoming. They help you with everything (she even gave us some fruits at around 5 am when we went for a tour to volcano Maderas) and the food she cooks is really good and also really cheap. The hostel is clean and chilled. It's a calm place we really enjoyed. Definitely recommend this place.
best hostel ever, I can just recommend to stay there. Jose is very lovely and helps you with everything. The rooms are very spacious and they clean every day. The nature around is very beautiful and you feel tranquil there.
A great hostel owned by a lovely family who make everyone feel welcome. It's in a great location, clean rooms, comfortable beds and even has a view of the volcano on the balcony. Rented a scooter through them and had a great day exploring the island. Would have liked to have stayed longer, hope to come back one day.
