The location is perfect. Pretty close to the mosque, close to the little India and Jetty food court. Close to the shore.
Everything is on the pin code, so you have to know that it's a hostless hostel if that makes sense and help yourself.
The check-in process is relatively easy.
Lots of nice people I met, also the owner did an extra when I saw how they rearrange rooms based on guests needs. I liked staying there and could definitely recommend it to anybody traveling in Penang.
Mentioning Penang, there's a Penang instant white coffee for free in the kitchen, I truly enjoyed drinking it and having conversations.
The water also comes filtered from a dedicated dispenser.

The staff were super friendly and had a very welcoming energy. My room was clean, neat, well-lit and really spacious, which was awesome. Same with restrooms. My favorite part was the lounge area—big enough where you can work, chill, catch a movie on the big screen, and hangout with other guests. Note that all these at a very competitive price. It was indeed fantastic experience. Definitely recommend it!

Good room for the price, perfect location and comfortable
It was a good cheap place to stay for 1 night in a great location in little India. It was basic but it did what it needed. Would recommend for a short stay on a budget.
We stayed in the twin room - literally just bunk beds, with blankets (very itchy) and a night stand. Bathroom was stairs, along with cold and hot water available 24/7. There was security overnight which was a nice feeling. We kept our shoes in our room as I read reviews about people’s being stolen but we didn’t feel unsafe here. Great location, not far from Little India with the best food!
This backpacker's hostel has a distinctive style, and what's particularly impressive is that they have preserved a real tree on the wall, adding a natural and mysterious touch to the entire space. A great location.
I love all about this hotel! the staff is so helpful and the room itself is better than I thought it would be. My room is a bunk bed room yet it is so comfy. I would love to come back to this hotel again whenever I'm in Penang. And the price is actually affordable and I can say it is cheap because everything is only a walking distance. The interior of this hotel is beautiful and the safety is superb too! Thankyou Kooning!!
Warm welcome by host. Perfect stay for backpackers and Frame Guesthouse is located at strategic place which is near to Armenian Street, Little India and famous Falafel vegan by walking distance. Bunk bed with separate locker to keep our belongings safely. Suitable for those who are travelling for work as there are space for them to work. Free refill of drinking water and most importantly, this Frame Guesthouse provides a comfortable home feel.
The hostel was in a great location. Good size room and beds. Security lockers for each bed and a key for the front door so it felt very safe. The lobby in the hostel is nice and there is free cold drinking water available. Not bad for a short cheap stay!
The hostel is clean, tidy and had such a great communal vibe. It's cheap and comfortable, the rooms have AC, and Ali and Mun are the kindest hosts ever - they couldn't do enough to help! Ali even showed two of us to the local bars. One of the best hostels I've ever stayed in. I extended my stay twice!
i loved everything, the owner was the sweetest person he even got me a couple of vegetarian puffs to try and they were amazing! is a great location with the city centre (Chulia street love lane etc.) on walking distance! the hostel is extremely cheap and they have a lovely common area (lounge with little kitchen)
Simple but spacious private room with huge bathroom and separate toilet. Hostel with shared amenities and common areas but yet it was quiet and felt safe. Friendly environment, perfect for a budget stay.
