Highly recommend this place it is perfect. Right next to the beach and the family is very nice. They really looked after me and were very attentive. Wi-Fi also works great
Budget travellers know that there is no better way to make the most of their trip than by staying at a hostel: save money for exploring during the day, and swap stories with fellow backpackers in the shared kitchen or bar in the evening. Dorm-style bedrooms with shared bathrooms are standard hostel fare, but private rooms are also available for those willing to pay a bit more.
Absolutely loved this place and came back twice. It‘s a little paradise to just relax or go surfing and to meet other nice people. One of the best Hostels I have stayed so far
Brilliant location for beach, train station, buses, cafes etc. Roof terrace where you can watch the sunset over the sea and look over Ahangama high street.
Staff were super friendly and helpful. Our room was large, had everything we needed (table, chair, hooks). You also had access to washing machine and kitchen.
Accommodation is really budget friendly especially considering the great location. Easy to find and get to.
The staff was extremely kind and you really felt welcomed. Hostel was clean, beds were comfortable and all this to a cheap price. Will definitely go back to Ce Lon Vie if I visit the South Coast again!!
such a nice hostel- only 10 beds in the whole place, it has a family feel and the beds are wider than a normal twin. the staff are really easy going and there is a restaurant upstairs that is a nice place to eat and chill in and watch the ocean. most of the rooms just have one bunk bed in them so you can sleep really well without any noise! About 10 minutes drive from Weligama and Ahangama as well as a 10 minute walk to Midigama.
Yoyo hostel is where I returned to at the end of my trip to Sri Lanka. It felt like coming home. The hostel has an incredibly friendly atmosphere. Very helpful staff and they will advise and help you with everything. Hostel is very clean and in a great location. I recommend it!
One of the best hostels I’ve stayed in - you need anything from food to a scooter to a bus to Ella they’ll help you and even wait at the bus stop with you (Not guaranteed lol). Events are organised most days and they’re great fun, the people at Yoyos make it special though. Wish them all the best and strongly recommend you book longer than you need because you’ll end up extending anyway
No doubt this is the best hostel in the country to settle down for a while, get to know people and have a really good time. Location is perfect and it is run by amazing people. Among all my travels, this is one of the most special hostels i ever visited (if not the most). Just go there!!!
