A very friendly welcome. I had the 2 bunk bed room to myself. Plenty of toilets and showers and never saw anyone else. It's 5 minutes from Byodin temple and the river.

Staff was very friendly, nice and clean common area to cook and have meals, shower rooms and toilets are very clean, the room was basic and small but the bed war comfortable and since we did not spend much time in the room anyway it was perfectly fine. Storage space under the bed helps to accommodate luggage.

A 5-minute walk from Higashiyama Subway Station, Guest House Ga-Jyun features free Wi-Fi at the entire property. The wooden terrace has chairs overlooking the garden. We are small house with 5 rooms.

Uji is a wonderful town and a good base to explore Osaka, Nara, Kyoto, and Uji itself. This hostel is conveniently located close to the train station.
The hostess at the front desk was very helpful and explained everything at check-in. Excellent communal facilities with washer, dryer, nice showers with great water pressure, tea, fridges, basic kitchen, and free draft beer!
If you are on a budget, they have very nice private rooms or dormitory style rooms that are well equipped.

Had an awesome time! Rooms and bathrooms were clean. Location was fantastic, especially since we could borrow bicycles from the hostel - and cycling in Uji is quite convenient and fun.
Great location to head into Kyoto for the day or explore around Uji (on bike is best). The accommodation was very peaceful and the staff were lovely.
