The hosts were great. They speak English well. The lady gave me a ride to a restaurant she recommended end picked me up after dinner. I wish that I would visit this area more often. That would be an excuse to visit them again. Well recommended.

Underfloor heating and an outdoor onsen which are luxurious for a snowy winter. A fully equipped, neat and tidy and also heating already preset house, all you can feel is full of warm hospitality.
Budget travellers know that there is no better way to make the most of their trip than by staying at a hostel: save money for exploring during the day, and swap stories with fellow backpackers in the shared kitchen or bar in the evening. Dorm-style bedrooms with shared bathrooms are standard hostel fare, but private rooms are also available for those willing to pay a bit more.
The room is ok. You can tell it was renovated from an old hot spring hotel.
However, the common space is amazing. Bright, clean, and spacious.
Based on the price I spent, this is the best hostel I've ever stayed in Beppu so far.
The location was really great and I felt very safe staying in a mixed dorm as a woman travelling on my own. The beds were comfy, and it was great to be able to leave my bags in the hostel after I checked out until I caught my bus that evening. The wifi was strong and overall it was a good stay! Will definitely stay here on future trips to Beppu.
The owners are very kind. When I walked out, the owner came after me and offered an umbrella to protect against the pouring rain.
The common area is peaceful and the interior design is beautiful. The bunk beds in the dorm have curtains for privacy
The hostel is located in a quiet street yet close to the station, very convenient.
The price was the best thing for me. It was extremely cheap considering the overall high quality of the lodging. It was also quite central, so I can highly recommend it for any travellers on a budget.
The people working here make this place. SO kind and friendly, and made me feel super welcome, giving me local highball drinks and lettuce and spinach (the lettuce was out of this world!). Plus so many great recommendations too. It’s really nice to have such a well equipped kitchen at a hostel as well, with all the tools and free use of oil seasoning etc. Great location as well. And the female dormitory was so lovely and dark, I slept like a baby!
