Hakaia Community, hotel in Aqaba

The beds were comfortable and had curtains for privacy. The brothers who run the hostel were so welcoming, every night they proposed something whether it was a walk in town, sunset on the roof, tea. It made it really easy to meet people. They had lots of recommendations for food and set me up for a dive master for scuba diving. I went on a hike with one of the brothers to Wadi Araba and it was one of my favourite things I did in Jordan. Thanks so much for your hospitality!

Extra Traveller, hotel in Aqaba

Extra Traveller in Aqaba provides adults-only accommodation with a garden, a shared lounge and a terrace.

Annas is a great hostel owner who made us feel comfortable during our stay in Aqaba! Staying at Extra Traveller felt like visiting a friend; he showed me around the city and did some photoshoots along the way. Additionally, we went snorkeling for two hours in South Beach and saw a tank underwater. Annas was always available for any recommendations including food ordering - he's also a great cook! Overall, the place itself is clean, centrical, and safe making it perfect for a solo traveler!

The hostel was lovely, quiet and homely. I had booked the mixed dorm for a friend and I, but on arrival we were asked if we’d prefer a female-only dorm, which was great! Ended up being 3 of us (all friends who knew each other before) in a 6-person dorm, so could choose our own beds. Breakfast was made fresh for us when we went which was such a great touch. There was a little outside space, kitchen available for us to use, work space and common areas. There were also mixed and gender-specific bathrooms. Would not hesitate to stay again!

This room in London will probably cost you £200 a night. So the fact it was this cheap (due to Gaza conflict and off season) was nuts. The room is immaculate. Very high quality finish. Great location also. Aqaba is a small town compared to Amman so this felt like a great place to end our trip in Jordan. The staff also assist with any questions you have too. They speak good English. Bathroom was amazing. Definitely will book here again if I were to come back.

Frankly, I advise all guests in this wonderful hostel. Very beautiful view, great location, the owner of the hostel and his son Abdullah. They help you with everything, a swim in the boat, and the Wadi Rum tour is the most amazing. The prices are cheap and the beach is beautiful. Thank you I will be back
