One of the highlights of my stay was the incredible food they prepared daily. Their local vegetarian meals not only tasted great but also improved my gut health—something I didn’t expect but truly appreciated. Having wholesome, home-cooked meals every day made the experience even more special.
The rooms are well-lit and well-ventilated, providing a clean and peaceful space to rest. Cleaning is done daily, ensuring a hygienic and fresh environment. They also have a washing machine, making laundry super convenient for long-term travelers. The fully functional kitchen allows guests to make tea or coffee anytime, which was a great touch for someone like me who enjoys a warm drink while working.
Speaking of work, I was provided with a table and chair, allowing me to work comfortably during my stay—something that digital nomads will definitely appreciate!
The terrace is huge, offering a breathtaking view of the jungle at the back. At night, the stars are clearly visible, creating a serene and magical atmosphere. The sunset views from the terrace are spectacular, making it the perfect spot for yoga, meditation, or simply unwinding.
Their garden space is beautifully decorated with string lights, creating a warm and inviting ambiance. They often host bonfires and musical gatherings, fostering a wonderful community vibe. Additionally, there’s a backyard space where they plan to build another hut for guests to relax and enjoy the surroundings.

Everything was amazing. The hosts were super welcoming and hospitable. You can rent vehicles directly from the hostel, there are several plug points in the hostel, there is a functioning kitchen for those who prefer to cook their own meals, the rooms are clean,etc. I personally found the hostel safe as a solo traveller.

Before being in this hostel, I was in another 2,5 km from the center but this one was really well situated, in the main active center of Pondichéry (that's not what said google when I followed the 'distance to center', if only I knew it before 😥).
The dormitory was quite large with a balcony, a kitchen to share, all really clean.
It's like a house with huge spaces recently renovated, really really nice !
And the welcome is warm.

Micasa hostels - my first solo trip hostel and boy am I glad i picked this place. Very safe and well connected, it's walkable distance from all cute cafes of pondi. Hosts Sam and Sandeep very friendly , they helped me with everything - bike rents, places to visit etc. Hostel is very well maintained, clean. Washrooms are constantly being cleaned by their staff. I would definitely recommend this hostel to others and especially solo traveling females.
Loved the stay as it was the first time for me to stay in a hostel. Loved the people and played games with random people... Loved the place. Should definitely choose this to stay if you are very open to meet new people and explore new options while traveling
The atmosphere was quite comfortable and the staff were welcoming. Their behaviour was more of a friend. It felt like home. Also, the other guests were quite hospitable. Best hostel for youth. The vibes were great. Best accommodation at cheap rates in Pondy. I would like to visit again.
Meeting new people sounds scary but at Aura hostel it was so good. I felt so safe staying there..even late night. Rahul ji is so fun and made us feel like home. The rooms were clean, very adjustable with timings. Loved the stay looking forward to go again.
