Looking for a hostel?
Budget travellers know that there is no better way to make the most of their trip than by staying at a hostel: save money for exploring during the day, and swap stories with fellow backpackers in the shared kitchen or bar in the evening. Dorm-style bedrooms with shared bathrooms are standard hostel fare, but private rooms are also available for those willing to pay a bit more.

Probably the best hostel I ever stayed in! It was super clean, modern and comfortable. The little bag of sweets on the pillow was a lovely touch. The room was warm and cosy and I had a lovely meal in the pub downstairs. All the staff were super friendly and helpful, thank you! 10/10

So far, i've stayed in Spoons and Stars Hostel twice and both times i really enjoyed my stay.I'm a bit old for dorms so the first time i opted for the double room with en-suite ,which is located at the back of the building, and found it very clean, quiet and comfortable,so much so i reserved the deluxe queen room (with my partner) in late June and we've both decided we'll definitely be back !!! Great location,GREAT bed, friendly staff and very clean.

It was easy to locate the address. The manager Declan was always super helpful and friendly. It’s within walking distance from the train and bus station and the town and there are shops and restaurants and so on close by. The area felt safe even at night. The hostel has everything you need. Good Wi-Fi, well equipped kitchen, there is an outdoor hang out area and a tv room. Everything is clean and if you need anything there is someone on hand who can help or who can contact Declan.

This facility wasn't what I expected. It was a youth hostel environment in the main part of Drogheda. Not a suitable or comfortable environment for my wife nor me. It would be fine for a young person, but my wife and I are both retired and didn't fit in with the other clientel.

We had one night short stay in Drogheda, and didn't want to spend money on the expensive hotels,so this hostel come very handy. We have had a separate room,so can't comment on the other, dormitory type of rooms, but our room was spacious enough, with ensuite shower and toilet. Windows were out to the yard,so it was quite. For the breakfast, they have well equipped common kitchen, with everything you would need for a light start of the day. Overall positive experience
