I really liked the area of Mushroom Bay, so even though it’s not technically central, I preferred this side of town more. The beds were so comfortable, perhaps the best hostel beds ever. The staff there are so much fun, and so friendly, really enjoyed my stay here. The nights around there are a good time, whilst also turning in for bed early. Best of both worlds. You can rent motorbikes and book tours through them as well. All around a great atmosphere, thanks Panda and crew!

I very much enjoyed my stay at Castaway. The property is conveniently located just a short walk from the beach and restaurants but tucked away to enjoy tranquility. The pool is definitely a plus to cool down when is so hot to stay at the beach, it's a very relaxing atmosphere. And last but not least, the staff! Rama and bonbon really go out of their way to make you feel welcome, I recommend Castaway Island. p.s. Movie night was really fun!

A nice clean place for a short stay. A very small hostel with only one room being used so it’s rare to see other people. Dede was polite and thoughtful, I had told her about mosquitoes in the room the previous night and she fixed the problem the very next day for me! She also cooks a delicious breakfast too!

A hidden budget gem. Really great location but peaceful as it’s off the noisy roads, if you want a quiet getaway. Staff are beautiful. Pool was lovely. King rooms are newly renovated and really nice, comfortable beds.
Its a great little homestay run by a lovely family, who are very helpful and friendly, and make you feel at home. Rheres a really nice chilled out buzz about 5he place. The food is great and very cheap, try one of Putu's curries, the veggie one was amazing. Great location, 2 minutes walk to the beach and same to 5he main road. There's a good swimming pool too. Highly recommend and will definitely be back!
I had a really nice stay and would highly recommend to stay here. Panda (the owner) and his wife were so kind and friendly and organized everything perfectly , from Daytrips to Transportation. It’s so familiar and Panda cares about every issue. Especially as a Solo - traveler you will get a very good connection to new people and really nice evenings. First I was a bit afraid about going into a hostel , because of my experiences I had before, but honestly it was the best hostel experience I ever had.
the best hostel I’ve stayed in on my trip! Pande and his family are really nice and make you feel like home. They will help you with everything like organization of activities or other things you may need. And of course they have the cutest puppy!! :) Pool and rooms are great and it’s very easy to meet new people.
