The hostel is very centrally located in Grasmere and provides basic but clean accommodation. The room was small but warm and ample, whilst showers and kitchen facilities were all good. There are numerous lounge areas whilst staff were all very friendly.
Car parking was provided free of charge.

The apartment was fantastic for everything we needed - location was brilliant right in the centre of Windermere, quirky and spacious communal area and everywhere was clean and tidy. Beds were so comfy too. The host was also very helpful, friendly and responsive - we will definitely stay again thank you Lakes Boutique!

Budget travellers know that there is no better way to make the most of their trip than by staying at a hostel: save money for exploring during the day, and swap stories with fellow backpackers in the shared kitchen or bar in the evening. Dorm-style bedrooms with shared bathrooms are standard hostel fare, but private rooms are also available for those willing to pay a bit more.
Staff lovely. YHA awful. i accidentally booked two rooms. they were not full. they will not refund me. the room we did have we could barely get out door for the bunk beds and sink. Noisy. Squeaky doors that banged loudly. The staff here ate lovely but so disappointed not to het refunded i appreciate it was my error but i reaent paging £100 twice for such horrid facilities
Fantastic location and just how a Youth Hostel should be. The staff were amazing, friendly and very helpful. I had the continental breakfast which well worth the money. Couple of good beers sat outside reading a book was just the ticket.
First time staying in a youth hostel and we were really impressed. Lovely bar area and excellent outdoor seating with beautiful views. Everything was so clean and the beds were comfy. The staff were really friendly and helpful too. We had an amazing weekend away.
I thought the hostel was great. Great location, great view, friendly staff, nice area to sit, cook and eat. Nice woodland area for the kids to play in. Teens loved playing the board games.
