Budget travelers know there's no better way to make the most of their trip than by staying at a hostel: Save money for exploring during the day, and swap stories with fellow backpackers in the shared kitchen or bar in the evening. Dorm-style bedrooms with shared bathrooms are standard hostel fare, but private rooms are also available for those willing to pay a little more.
Nice room, fantastic pub and landlord. After long walk on coast to coast had all that was needed, hot shower, decent food in pub restaurant and also bar area, where I had a few pints and watched the quarter finals of the EUROs. Decent breakfast as well.
The grounds of this youth hostel are absolutely amazing, everything was kept spotlessly clean and the room was perfect and really warm.
The free kids breakfast with each adult breakfast was great too.
The location was fantastic, very clean, friendly staff, basic but has everything you need for a cheap stay/over night pit stop, we stayed in one of the pods. Idea for cycling holiday, the lodge has a lot of history.
